On Friday, the Terrapins received a commitment from the next potential great kicker in South Mecklenburg (NC)’s Jonathan Doerer, according to his Twitter account.

Doerer’s only other scholarship offer was from Army, but he did have interest from Abilene Christian and Clemson. According to Kohl’s Kicking, Doerer was rated as a five-star prospect and the fifth-best kicker in the 2017 class.
