Former Maryland guard Dez Wells recently worked out with both the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics, hoping to improve his stock ahead of the upcoming NBA Draft in June.
Wells showcased his talents in L.A. alongside Arizona guard T.J. McConnell, Iowa State guard Bryce Dejean-Jones, Gonzaga guard Kevin Pangos, University of Northern Iowa forward Seth Tuttle and Minnesota forward Maurice Walker.
All are projected to be late-second round picks or go undrafted. The Lakers hold the 2nd, 27th and 34th picks in this year's draft, and this workout was likely an early scouting for summer rosters if these players are passed on in June.
