HUNTINGTON — When Marshall’s frenetic offense is working at its best, there’s one predictable result: The opposing coach criticizes his defense.
That in itself is not a big deal, but the degree of criticism can be. The usual line after a big Herd win at Cam Henderson Center goes something like this: “We played our worst defense of the season.”
Or something like this: “We just ran around and hoped they miss.”
The latest is Ohio coach Saul Phillips, who saw the game slip away Wednesday as the Thundering Herd warmed up in the second half.
