HUNTINGTON — The Marshall women struggled on Thursday night with a very physical Middle Tennessee team, then had only one day to prepare for an UAB team that desperately needed a win after opening the season 1-3 in league play. After senior Talequia Hamilton had foul trouble and sat more than 22 minutes in the loss to Middle, she scored seven points in a row to get the Herd started in the second half on her way to a game-best 15 — and Marshall’s guards hit some big shots late — as the Herd got the win, 61-58, at the Cam Henderson Center.
