Herd Football Falls At Home To Charlotte, 27-24

HUNTINGTON — Marshall Football had not lost three games at home since 2012 — Doc Holliday’s third season and last losing season at MU — and has only lost 28 games in 26 season since the Joan C. Edwards Stadium opened back in 1991. But too many mistakes, penalties and missed opportunities took away scoring chances throughout the contest kept Marshall from pulling away from Charlotte.

Right up to an Amoreto Curraj miss of a 40-yard field goal, the Herd still had a chance to at least send the game to overtime and possibly pull out a win at a stadium where Marshall has won 150 games and is 4-2 in overtimes.
