Marshall starting quarterback Chase Litton will not play against Louisville on Saturday night, a source told ESPN’s College Football Reporter Brett McMurphy Saturday morning. The No. 3 Cards come to Marshall on the wrong end of four-straight losses in the series, losing in 2011 and 1987 in Louisville, and falling to the Herd in the 2002 GMAC Bowl and the 1998 Motor City Bowl. U of L’s last win over the Herd was in 1981.

Litton, a sophomore, suffered a concussion in last week’s loss to Akron and was not cleared by the school’s medical staff, a source said.
