Saturday was a chalk-tacular day for The Basketball Tournament. All eight top seeds won in the Midwest region, and seven of the eight won in the West region. The lone lower seed to win? #9 Broad Street Brawlers, who knocked off #8 Trained To Go in the West bracket. That’s it! At least that one has the added bonus of seeing a team from the Jamboree advance into the second round of the tournament.
At the end of the day, we’ll have the eight Super 16 teams from the Midwest and West regions, and next weekend’s action on the campus of LIU-Brooklyn will be set to go.
