After a wild and wacky opening weekend, the 2017 edition of The Basketball Tournament returns on Saturday for the opening round of play in the Midwest and West regions. That includes Golden Eagles, the squad consisting of Marquette alumni, who will be in action on Saturday night for their opening round game.
This week’s first round action goes above and beyond what last week provided us. Because games will be played in Peoria and Las Vegas, we get a staggered start to the day. The Midwest region will start two hours before the West region, and thus, the West region will still be going two hours after the Midwest wraps up for the day.
