Last week, Marquette found themselves just barely on the outside of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) top 25. Following Friday’s loss to Creighton, a team that was also only receiving votes in the poll, Marquette’s still getting votes in the newest poll, but just barely.
They have just two points, which would indicate that two different people gave Marquette their #25 slot. See, the AVCA doesn’t list you as “receiving votes” if you’re only on one ballot, so MU’s points had to come from two different ballots. Yay math.
MU is the very last team showing up on at least two ballots this week.
