Following Friday night’s three set loss to Creighton, Marquette made the trip out to the east coast for match #2 on the Big East schedule and rebounded with a three set victory over Providence, 25-21, 25-14, and 25-18. The Golden Eagles are now 1-1 in Big East play and 11-3 on the season.
Things started out a little shaky for Marquette, as Providence took an 11-7 lead in the early goings of the first set. MU caught a break when PC committed three straight errors late in the frame to allow the Golden Eagles to edge out to an 18-17 lead.
