James Wilson ruled out for rest of season after Manchester United striker tears ACL on loan at Derby

Manchester United striker James Wilson will miss the rest of the season after doctors confirmed he has torn his anterior cruciate ligament while on loan at Derby County.

Wilson, 20, returned to United for assessment on the injury last week after sustaining the injury in training at Derby on Monday.

Though the injury is considered a 'clean tear', the England Under-21 international will undergo surgery before undertaking a standard rehabilitation programme.
