LSU made an expected drop in the national rankings after losing two of three games during the weekend at Florida.
The Tigers (18-7, 4-2 SEC) fell five spots to No. 9 in the Baseball America poll and four spots to No. 10 by Perfect Game. Those poll placements are the lowest for LSU this season.
Ranked ahead of LSU in both polls are South Carolina (17-6, 5-1) and Florida (16-9, 2-4).
In the D1Baseball.com poll, LSU dropped only one spot to No. 6, which kept the Tigers as the highest-ranked SEC team in that poll.
