SEC leads in number of NFL draft picks for 11th straight year

The SEC finished with the most draft choices for the 11th straight year in the NFL Draft with 12 of the 14 league schools providing 53 picks.

It's the second most in SEC history, behind the 63 players taken in 2013 Draft and just ahead of the 51 drafted last season and in 1951.

Round by round in this year's draft that concluded Saturday in Philadelphia, the SEC had 12 first-round selections, 9 in the second round, 9 in the third round, 8 in the fourth round, 4 in the fifth round, 7 in the sixth round and 4 in the seventh round.
