Ole Miss admits NCAA violations, requests delay, newspaper reports

Ole Miss has received its notice of allegations for NCAA violations but says it isn;t prepared to move forward because of the recent revelations by former player Laremy Tunsil, the Jackson Clarion-Ledger reported Friday.

Ole Miss is charged with 28 violations in three sports -- football, women's basketball and track and field. The school admits violations occurred but is disputing the level of violation for five charges.

There were two Level I violations for academic misconduct, two Level I violations for unethical conduct directed at individuals who were no longer university employees when the violation occurred, seven Level I violations for other misconduct or unethical conduct charges, four Level I violations of improper benefits from boosters and one Level I violation of head coach control in women's basketball, according t o the Clarion-Ledger.
