JACKSONVILLE – The spotlight has been on Leonard Fournette since he was in middle school.
He never let it get to him. He never let his run to greatness get derailed.
Fournette realized any football player’s dream Thursday night, being selected early in the first round of the NFL draft. The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Fournette with the fourth overall pick; his contract will be fully guaranteed and worth roughly $27 million.
But that likely won’t change Fournette. Nothing has so far. Not being the top-rated player in the nation coming out of high school.
