With Columbia, S.C. still dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Joaquin, Saturday’s game between the LSU Tigers and South Carolina Gamecocks has been relocated to Baton Rouge.
The contest will be an unconventional home game for Steve Spurrier and the Gamecocks, who will be playing roughly 700 miles from their campus. LSU is doing its best to make South Carolina feel at home, and will give all ticket proceeds from Saturday to their opponent’s athletic department.
LSU sophomore running back Leonard Fournette will be the star on the field this weekend. Fournette has recorded three consecutive 200-yard rushing performances, an SEC first, and is currently the clearcut favorite to win the Heisman Trophy.
