Lange Stymies Terrapins, Papierski Bombs LSU to 6-1 Win

You may get to Alex Lange, but not until he gets to you first. The junior recorded 12 strikeouts in Friday night’s game against Maryland and sat down every batter in the Maryland lineup. Lange gave up just six hits in the same amount of innings pitched while only allowing two walks, his first of the year.

Lange’s first inning set the tone of the night where he struck out four batters thanks to an error on catcher Michael Papierski on a dropped third strike. In that first inning, he started the game by throwing six pitches, all of them strikes for two K’s.
