LSU added to its 2018 commitment list over the weekend when three-star running back Tae Provens pledged to the Tigers. One reason for the commitment, Provens said, is LSU coach Ed Orgeron.
“I like the fire that he brings to the table and that he coaches with emotion,” Provens told GN.
Provens (5 feet 11, 187 pounds) is from Gurley (Ala.) Madison County, in the north-central part of the state, near Huntsville. He chose LSU over offers from Auburn, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee and others.
“Me and Coach (Tommie) Robinson (running backs coach) and Coach Orgeron, we have always been close,” Provens told GN.
