LSU coach Ed Orgeron gave updates on several position battles during his Thursday meeting with media members.
He was quick to say that the position battle at quarterback was still open but was more definitive on several other positions.
- Running back
The only note to come out of Orgeron discussing the running backs was he mentioned Clyde Edwards-Helaire as a possible candidate for the starting kick returner job. Earlier on Thursday, wide receiver Drake Davis mentioned himself and Edwards-Helaire as possible kickoff return candidates.
- Offensive line
Orgeron broke down the O-line - which has practiced as a healthy unit this week.
