Valentine, a defensive tackle, was a four-star recruit in the 2014 signing class, but he failed to meet academic qualifications. There were hopes for 2015, but reports of multiple failed drug tests and spotty class attendance led Valentine to transfer to Arizona Western CC. He now is at Mississippi Gulf Coast CC.
NOLA.com reports that sources say LSU’s compliance department is checking to see what it would take to get Valentine back in Baton Rouge.
The report also said Valentine would need to maintain a GPA of at least 2.5 and complete a set number of credit hours to make it happen.
