The Lions swept USF in three sets on Thursday, hitting .410 for the entire game. The Lions came out with intensity closing the first set with a .520 hitting percentage, and kept this intensity throughout the match which allowed them to sweep USF.

The Lions had extraordinary performances from freshman outside hitter Savannah Slattery and junior outside hitter/setter Sarah Sponcil. Each shared the match high of 14 kills with Sponcil swinging at an outstanding .571 hitting percentage. Freshman setter Jessie Prichard also had an exceptional match, totaling 35 assists.

Coming hot off their win against the Dons of USF, the Lions attempted to increase their four-match winning streak to five as they played the Broncos of SCU.
