Louisville hires law-firm to investigate escort allegations

On the verge of another college hoops season, the University of Louisville men’s basketball team has much bigger issues than perfecting their up-tempo style of play for yet another year.

With recent escort allegations luring, the University of Louisville Foundation announced the hiring Thursday of the Stites & Harbison Law firm to investigate claims that former men’s basketball assistant coach, Andre McGee, hired dancers to strip and have sex with recruits and players.

Louisville President James Ramsey said Thursday he “fully” supports athletic director Tom Jurich in his efforts to discover the truth and announced that the school has hired former NCAA enforcement official Chuck Smart to lead the athletic department’s investigation into Katina Powell’s book, “Breaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen.
