Statesboro, Ga. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns soccer team defeated Georgia Southern, 2-0, for it's first Sun Belt Conference win of the season on Friday evening at Eagle Field.
Louisiana (5-5-1, 1-1-1, SBC) scored in the 42 minute on a goal from 12 yards out by junior Whitney Taggert, her third of the season. Freshman was credited with the assist.
The Ragin' Cajuns added onto their lead in the 66 minute on a goal by senior , her third of the season, from 30 yards out into the top right corner of the goal.
"I'm very proud of the effort the girls gave tonight on the road," head coach said.
