MOBILE, Ala. – 17th-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball collected a series sweep of South Alabama on Sunday at Jaguar Field with a 4-2 win in the resumption of Game 2 of the series and a 9-4 win in the series finale.
The Ragin' Cajuns (23-5, 6-0 Sun Belt) extended their school and Sun Belt Conference record of consecutive conference series won to 31 straight (dates back to March 2013). The sweep of the Jaguars (19-12, 2-7 Sun Belt) was the first in Mobile since 2011 and only the second in six trips.
Louisiana returns to action Saturday-Sunday, April 1-2 in Statesboro, Ga.
