NEW ORLEANS – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns track and field standout Bartul Basic was honored on Wednesday after being named the Sun Belt Conference Male Field Athlete of the Week in a release by the conference office.
Basic, from Split, Croatia, posted a personal-best throw of 231-7 to claim the men's javelin title last Saturday at the LSU Alumni Gold meet in Baton Rouge.
