Lakers 'live,' then 'die' with Kobe Bryant's shooting in loss to Pacers

The Lakers battled back from a 17-point deficit on Monday and Kobe Bryant offered his standard late-game fare of late-game 3-pointers, but the Lakers failed to execute in the final minute and lost, 89-87, to the Indiana Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Bryant scored 11 straight points as part of a 13-3 run that gave the Lakers an 84-80 lead in the fourth quarter.

The Pacers (28-24) scored nine straight points in the final 71 seconds and the Lakers (11-43) missed three 3-pointers.

The Lakers shot just 31.2 percent from the field, but stayed in the game by limiting the Pacers to just 39.
