D’Angelo Russell certainly had his hiccups last season, but an offseason of hard work and determination could mean big things for the Los Angeles Lakers guard moving forward. The 20-year-old began his career as a highly touted rookie hastily thrusted into a white-hot spotlight, but was able to overcome a sputtering start to finish the year out strong.
In many ways, last season was trial by fire for Russell that tested his poise. The young point guard endured some serious adversity, both on and off the court, and emerged relatively in-tact. That’s a lot to throw at a teenager, but, he’s risen to the challenge thus far.
