Lakers Summer League: Jabari Brown sidelined first Summer League games with eye injury

Jabari Brown won't participate in Summer League for the first two games.

The Los Angeles Lakers' Las Vegas Summer League team will get the ball rolling without swingman Jabari Brown, who is expected to miss the first two games of exhibition play after suffering a laceration on his left eye, according to Lakers sideline reporter Mike Trudell. Brown was a late addition to the Lakers' team last season, filling in the backcourt rotation with his former Mizzou teammate Jordan Clarkson.

This could open an opportunity for other players on the Lakers' squad -- like Xavier Munford -- to get an extended opportunity during the first few contests.
