The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to free agency this July as a huge opportunity to turn the franchise's fortunes around, and their recruiting process may very well including a call to Cleveland Cavs star Kevin Love.
As Bleacher Report's Kevin Ding puts it, "the Lakers will spend this summer. They hope they can spend on a new superstar such as Kevin Love."
While Love has consistently reiterated that he plans to re-sign in Cleveland when free agency finally begins, there's plenty of intrigue surrounding the big man's connections to the Los Angeles area.
Love played his collegiate ball at UCLA, and he's dating an actress who plies her craft in the Hollywood area. It's possible that a move to Los Angeles would be in Love's best personal interests, and the fact that the Lakers would likely be willing to shell out max money could at least cause him to think twice about re-signing in Cleveland.
