Lakers News: Byron Scott To Represent Lakers At Lottery

Last year, James Worthy represented the Los Angeles Lakers at the NBA lottery. Technically, it wasn’t a job particularly well-done, as the Lakers fell from the sixth spot to seventh in the draft. It worked out, as many considered Julius Randle one of the top talents available, but another former Laker will reportedly try his hand.

Who will be the next Laker to try their luck at the lottery? According to The Beast 980Mitch Kupchak told Fred Roggin on his radio show this afternoon that Lakers coach Byron Scott will represent the team in the draft lottery on May 20th:

Scott was a fourth overall pick in 1983 by the then San Diego Clippers, but was traded to Lakers for Norm Nixon.
