Jordan Clarkson spending offseason volunteering in the Phillipines

When he was drafted, Jordan Clarkson spoke about his Filipino roots, saying "It's a great feeling, I've got the country behind me. It feels great. That's also driving me too, just being one of the first. I'm just trying to make a mark here and find a significant role."

During the season, Clarkson made history this season as a part of the NBA's first ever Asian-American starting backcourt. So it is fitting that Clarkson is giving back to a place whose support he had before playing a single game for the purple and gold. The All-Rookie first team guard is spending some of his offseason time in the Phillipines (where his mother is from) working with children:

Clarkson seemed to really be enjoy his time working with the community:

Omg that was one of the best experiences of my life, this is amazing, we are really blessed thank you @nba_philippines #nbacares
