Lightning edge Kings in shootout

Have you ever heard the line, “the ending is the best part”?

That was the case in Tampa, Florida on Wednesday night when the Los Angeles Kings battled the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Tampa Bay forward Tyler Johnson scored the game’s first goal with 14:03 remaining in the third period and Los Angeles forward Milan Lucic answered with 5:23 to go in the contest before the Lightning prevailed in the shootout, beating the Kings 2-1 at Amalie Arena.

It was the eighth time in the last 10 outings that the final score in a Kings game was decided by just one goal.
