ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. >> Like spaghetti stains on a white shirt, Alex Wood’s mistakes were glaring and eventually ruined the whole thing.
The Dodgers left-hander served up three home runs, each more costly than the one before, as the Dodgers lost to the Tampa Bay Rays, 8-5, Wednesday night.
“I felt like I was really good tonight – minus the home runs,” Wood said, hopefully aware that post-game subtraction is not allowed.
The Dodgers split their two-game series at Tropicana Field and continue their interleague road trip in Toronto this weekend. The Dodgers have lost nine of their past 12 games in American League parks.
