A pair of Dodgers minor leaguers were honored on Monday for their performances over the last seven days. Jharel Cotton was named Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week, and Willie Calhoun was named Texas League Player of the Week.
It has been an up-and-down season for Cotton with Triple-A Oklahoma City, shifting between starting and relief. But after a month in the bullpen Cotton was moved back into the rotation last week and didn't disappoint. He struck out a season-high 10 in just five innings on the road against Fresno, allowing only a solo home run, with no other hits or walks.
