LOS ANGELES — The Dodgers made official their call up of top prospect Cody Bellinger on Tuesday, and optioned outfielder Brett Eibner to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
It has been a busy week for Eibner, who was recalled Wednesday then went 0-for-5 in three games with the Dodgers, starting once each in left field and center field. He was optioned back to Triple-A on Sunday, then recalled on Monday when Joc Pederson was placed on the DL.
To make room on the 40-man roster for Bellinger, pitcher Joe Gunkel was designated for assignment.
