Dodgers' Howie Kendrick not worried about slow start

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. >> Howie Kendrick is well aware what a small piece 50 at-bats are in a full-season puzzle. But still – it’s hard to miss a .143 batting average with zero RBI and zero extra-base hits in May.

“You know your numbers. Every guy in here knows their numbers,” Kendrick acknowledged. “But the biggest thing is you can’t worry about that. They’re going to be what they’re going to be by the end of the year. It sucks while you’re going through it. At the same time, if you stay positive about it and know that you’ve done it time and time again, it’ll all change.
