Final: Dodgers hit four HRs in win but lose Brandon McCarthy to injury

SAN DIEGO -- The Dodgers and San Diego Padres combined to hit seven home runs, four by the Dodgers in an 11-8 victory at Petco Park Saturday night.

However, the Dodgers might have lost right-hander Brandon McCarthy to an injury in the process. McCarthy left the game in the sixth inning after giving up a three-run home run to Justin Upton.

The preliminary word from the Dodgers was McCarthy's issue was right elbow tightness. Though McCarthy has a long injury history, it has mainly involved shoulder problems. He has never missed time with an elbow injury.

Upton's home run was his second of the game and the third given up by McCarthy in the game.
