Marreese Speights is on course to sign a deal with the Orlando Magic, according to a tweet from international basketball reporter David Pick, who cited sources.
Speights, 29, played in all 82 of the LA Clippers' games last season, averaging 8.7 PPG. The 6-foot-10, 255-pound center was drafted No. 16 overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2008 NBA draft.
So far, not much information on the deal has surfaced other than the fact that Speights had an in-person meeting with the Magic. Over the past few seasons, Speights has developed as a shooter, an area in which the current Magic roster has been struggling.
