LA Clippers: Marreese Speights working on threes, ball handling

The best part of the LA Clippers signing Marreese Speights is improved floor spacing. While there’s no way to avoid the fact that the loss of Cole Aldrich as the team’s backup center is a problem for the second unit’s interior defense, the benefit of Speights at center is that he can spread the floor beyond the three-point line. Which, in comparisons to Aldrich’s hook shots, is a nice trait for the Clippers to have.

Of course, as any center with such shooting range would, Speights is working on his three-point game this summer.
