The Clippers needed a reason to smile, and Tuesday night in Denver, they finally got one.
A pair of improbable 3-point baskets in the third quarter had the Clippers finally happy, helping them pick up a needed 111-94 win on the road.
“We need to start building momentum,” J.J. Redick said to FoxSports after the game.
Blake Griffin beat the shot-clock buzzer in the third, catching a pass in mid air, and in one motion, making the rare alley-oop 3-pointer.
The play, which put the Clippers up five, gave Griffin a rare chance to laugh on the court, a place where the Clippers had been reeling.
