The Clippers returned to practice after closing the preseason Tuesday night in Sacramento. Paul Pierce (ankle) and Luc Mbah a Moute (right knee contusion) were held out. The Clippers will be in Portland October 27 for their regular season opener against the Trail Blazers, and head coach Doc Rivers, PG Chris Paul, and backup SF Wesley Johnson discussed the need for the Clippers to be more consistent.
