Clippers fold late to Jazz, one loss from elimination

SALT LAKE CITY >> Blake Griffin was out, Rudy Gobert was back.

And still, the Clippers appeared to be on the verge of flying back to Los Angeles on Sunday night with a commanding 3-1 series lead.

What happened?

The Clippers’ offense went ice cold in the fourth quarter and Joe Johnson, Utah’s Game 1 hero, bailed the Jazz out once again.

The Jazz won, 105-98, in Game 4 of this wild and injury-filled, first-round series that is now knotted at two games apiece.

Chris Paul scored 27 points to lead L.A., while Jamal Crawford finally had the game everyone assumed he would eventually have, scoring 25 points off the bench.
