Instant Reaction: Spurs Survive, Outlast Clippers For 111-107 Overtime Victory To Tie Series

San Antonio was able to maintain a slim lead over Los Angeles during most of the first half and held a slight 52-47 lead at the break. The Clippers fought back to take the lead in the third quarter only to see the Spurs counter to steal the lead right back. LA made another late run in the fourth quarter and tied the game, forcing overtime.

The game continued to go back and forth in the extra frame, but the Spurs took a six point lead with less than a minute left and held on for the win.

The series is now tied 1-1 after the Clippers won Game 1.

Key Stat:

The Spurs allowed the Clippers to shoot over 55 percent from three-point range in Game 1, but they limited Los Angeles to just 31 percent shooting from deep tonight.

Los Angeles MVP:

Blake Griffin continued to do it all for the Clippers in Game 2, recording a triple-double with 29 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. DeAndre Jordan also had a monster double-double with 20 points and 15 rebounds.

San Antonio MVP:

Tim Duncan came through with a vintage performance tonight, dropping 28 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Kawhi Leonard had a great game with 23 points and nine rebounds as well, and Patty Mills stepped up with 18 points off the bench, most of which came in the 4th quarter and overtime.
