Eddie Royal talks Malcom Floyd's return in latest Chargers news update

The Chargers news cycle got a boost on Tuesday with the news that San Diego Chargers wide receiver Malcom Floyd has been cleared for contact after suffering a serious, career-threatening neck injury last September against the Philadelphia Eagles.

"I hope I can add some more firepower [to the offense]," Floyd said, via ESPN.com. "I felt really good today. So today's down, and we're looking forward to tomorrow."

Malcom Floyd isn't the only one excited for him to be back on the field. Fellow Chargers wide receiver Eddie Royal weighed in on what Floyd's return means to the team going forward:

With Floyd being on the injured reserve list last season, Keenan Allen emerged as the team's top wideout - amassing 71 catches for 1,046 yards and eight touchdowns. However, adding Floyd back to the team's wide receiving corps can only mean great things for quarterback Philip Rivers and the Chargers' offense.
