New LA Angels Quintin Berry Hopes to Make the MLB Roster

The LA Angels signed outfielder Quintin Berry to a minor-league deal with a spring training invitation this offseason. The 31-year-old only has one Major League season under his belt – in 2012 with the Tigers – when he had a slash line of .258/.330/.354 with two home runs and 21 stolen bases in 291 at bats. He has also seen Major League time in the 2013, 2014, and 2015 campaigns with the Red Sox, Orioles, and Cubs respectively, but only batted 11 times over those three years. In 10 minor league seasons, Berry has slashed .258/.353./328 and was successful in 351 out of 435 stolen base attempts.
