The team has never finished with more than 87 losses in the previous 16 years of manager Mike Scioscia‘s tenure. With everything that has happened this season, one would not blame the Angels team for phoning it in the rest of the way, but that has not happened.
Once the team broke the losing streak the team won 13 of their next 19 games. During that stretch the Angels took series on the road in Detroit and Toronto and also came back home and took a series from the surging Mariners.
