Huston Street's return would bolster Angels bullpen that has been logging a lot of innings

ARLINGTON, Texas – The timing has not been ideal.

Since placing closer Huston Street on the disabled list late last month, the Angels have seen their bullpen’s workload see quite the uptick.

Through the first three weeks of May, only two teams in the American League used their bullpens more often. Going into Monday’s games, Angels relief pitchers logged 711/3 innings this month, trailing only Kansas City (781/3) and Houston (72).

“It doesn’t happen very often and we don’t expect it to keep happening,” said Street, who has been shelved because of a strained oblique.
