KANSAS CITY – The Kansas City Royals – perhaps stealing an idea from the Angels – hosted “Christmas in July” on Monday night, it being July 25.
To at least one Angels player, though, it wasn’t such a stretch.
It was more like Christmas Eve, though, to Tyler Skaggs, who is a day away from a day he has anticipated at least as eagerly as any child waiting for Santa Claus.
“I’m excited for tomorrow,” Skaggs said Monday, a day before he was scheduled to pitch in the majors for the first time in nearly two years, after undergoing Tommy John surgery.
