ANAHEIM – Vinnie Pestano had just thrown the self-described worst game of his career Wednesday night. And now, here the Angels reliever was, down to a 3-0 count with the bases loaded in a one-run game on Saturday night.
Pestano bore down and fired three consecutive on-the-corner fastballs to the Rangers’ Robinson Chirinos, getting the inning-ending groundout on the last one.
