Robbie Fowler: Anfield derbies are always special

The Blues haven’t tasted victory at Anfield since September 1999 and the legendary No.9 hopes that record will be extended as Jürgen Klopp’s charges look to strengthen their top-four claims.

Fowler, who netted six goals in derby clashes over the years, expects a fixture that often provides fireworks to live up to its billing once again.

“The derby's always special,” Fowler said. “As players, these are the games we live and breathe for.

“Any chance you’ve got to play an Everton side at Anfield in front of your own fans is always special. The crowd’s always up for it.
